Implementation of a Composting Area, Green House, Poultry
Housing-chicken coops, Organic farm in the Intercultural Bilingual School “Vicente Mamallacta” located in the Kichwa Community of Añangu.
The purpose of this project is to provide healthy food on a daily basis which will lead to improve the quality of life at the Community; giving emphasis in the access to production resources as a mechanism of redistribution and equity. As well as to promote an experience and knowledge exchange, implementing these activities in their homes.
This project will be completed in three phases. The first one is to socialize among teachers and school employees who will be in charge of communicating students the activities to be made. A seminar was giving to the personnel involved in this project on recycle of organic waste, management of the compost.
This phase is being developed with positive results, as we have found during the turning process partial decomposition of these waste. The second phase will start the second half of January 2012.
The Poultry Housing and the Green House will be made in coordination with the teachers. The third phase will start in February. This is the creation the organic farm, transplant of the green house´s plants and afterwards the obtaining of healthy products.
