Napo Wildlife Center: a once in a lifetime tour to the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador

The Napo Wildlife Center is a place unlike any other. It is a comfortable, luxury, eco-lodge situated in the heart of the Yasuni Park, in the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador.

Administered by the native Kichwa Añangu community, this renown, award-winning ecotourism project, was built with the most perfect design to provide visitors with the maximum comfort and privacy and, at the same time, a truly wildlife experience.

History and origins

amazonian cultureUnder the pressure from oil industries who wanted to destroy the forest, the Kichwa Añangu community built this project with the main goal of preserving all of the natural areas and animals of this Amazon rainforest area which is one of most rich and diverse natural environment on the planet.

This luxury eco-lodge project was built entirely by the community and since then it became a viable and sustainable community because of ecotourism.

All of the profits this project receives are used for the community itself to develop other educational, health and conservation projects for the benefit of the region.

The rooms include a king bed or two twin beds, a private bathroom with hot water and a terrace with views of the lake and the rainforest. The design of the Center is a combination of the traditional native architecture and a modern style at the interior.

The restaurant area features one the best views of the place. While you are having breakfast or lunch you can see giant otters or even a large black caiman across the Anangucocha Lake.

Attractions and activities
