As a guest of the Kichwa Añangu Community, you have a unique opportunity to become one of the few people in the entire world who has seen the enigmatic Bush Dog! Increasingly rare, this adorable wild dog is one of the many endangered species we are pleased to call our neighbors here in the Yasuni Biosphere Reserve. There are plans to breed them in captivity but the Napo Wildlife Center is one of the few places tourists are able to see this amazing animal in its natural habitat. By doing so, you will indirectly contribute to the safeguarding of one of their chosen homes in the wilderness where they belong.
Visiting the Napo Wildlife Center & Napo Cultural Center is the best and most responsible choice when exploring the Amazon as it ensures the continuation of an entire First Nation people’s self-determination and ongoing stewardship of the Amazon! Help us ensure this beautiful landscape, which is home to more species than anywhere else on Earth, continues to remain so for many more generations to come. Don’t forget to snap that once-in-a-lifetime photo to help remember your journey and become a member of our international community!
