The Napo Wildlife Center is one of the greatest ecolodges of Ecuador’s Amazon Rainforest. It has been carefully and perfectly designed by the local community, the Kichwa Añangu to provide visitors with great style and comfort.
Among the different activities the lodge offers to visitors the Canopy observation Tower is one of the favorites –Do you imagine why? No one wants to miss the incredible views this highlight provides: troops of monkeys, bird flocks and the immense tropical forest scenery.
The Canopy observation Tower is only 35 minutes from the Napo Wildlife Center ecolodge. It is over 125 feet tall and it stands right next to a giant Kapok tree –does it sound scary? Do not worry. This platform was design and built to provide maximum safety and it complies with internationally certifications as ISO 9001:2000.
The observation tower provides space for at least 15 guests and a 360° view of the rainforest. It is a whole different picture of the jungle you can admire from the heights. Flows of birds such as macaws, toucans, parrots, etc…in the tree tops, birds rule. It is truly a heaven specially for avid professional birdwatchers and those nature lovers.
There is a smaller observation tower right there at the lodge, just next to the main hall and the restaurant. It is a 60 feet tall tower high enough to get an amazing view of the jungle and its wide variety of wildlife. Also you can have some great views of the Añangu lagoon and the lodge itself.
So, after coming back from daily excursions or early in the morning you are welcome to visit the tower and enjoy the purest view of the Amazon jungle.
TIP: Do not miss the night views from the dining observation tower. There you can see the most extraordinary starry night sky.
The Canopy and the dining room observation tower are just one of the many activities and attractions of this Amazon luxurious ecolodge in Ecuador. Here you can read about other attractions at Napo Wildlife Center.
