There are many species that are endangered in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest. And there are people who want to take care of them; this is why national parks and biosphere reserves have been created.
Many people have volunteered to help the Rainforest. They enjoy the opportunity of doing a good action that will make their trip to the Amazon an unforgettable journey! There is more than one example of wildlife conservation, because this land offers more than amazing landscapes and peace, so each location has their own case.
Animals in the Ecuadorian Amazon : amphibians, reptiles, mammals, fish, birds… all of them have their own purpose in the world; they exist for a reason. However, they are hunted for many reasons: their meat or fur, scientific studies, medical purposes or even their appearance as trophies!
People are not conscious of how animals can help the planet advance, because many think that they are only pets or wild creatures with no purpose on Earth. Animals create an environment that helps the waters to be clean, and the plants, foods and soils to grow better.
There are some animal rescue centers and shelters which only reason to exist is to protect these animals from extinction. In these centers you will see their utility for all of us.
Animals that have been illegally trapped, abused, hunted, injured, or have to escape from their habitat due to logging, hunting or oil drilling, are taken to these centers to be cured, and then they are released into the wild to be free and safe.
The dedication of this experienced people is awesome: they take care of each animal as if they were their own family.
Our indigenous communities are involved in this project more than anybody else, because their habitat is exactly the same of these wild creatures! The lodges in the Amazon that are run by native people know the importance of taking care of these lands full of history, nature, and wilderness.
Our native populations learned how to serve their guests the best way possible, and from the incomes they raise from ecotourism they are able to protect their land from all of those issues that endanger animals and their ecosystem.
There is a code that helps us save the biological reserves. No one who travels here can break it: you must appreciate the fauna and cannot play with the animals as if they were toys or pets. Remember these are wild animals, and they are in their home: you are just a guest and must respect them and their habitat.
People from all over the world have come to presence how big this land is, and how important fauna is for all of us. What are you waiting for? Come and see for yourself how you can help us with a little contribution!
